Envision-IBH Foundation and National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Launch Initiative to Train 10 Million Nigerian Youths

In a landmark effort to tackle youth unemployment and drive inclusive national development, Envision-IBH Foundation has entered into a strategic partnership with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) to implement a nationwide initiative to train and empower over 10 million Nigerian youths with critical, future-ready skills for the modern economy.
The initiative, titled the National Youth Capacity Development Program (NYCDP), is designed to provide large-scale access to technology, professional, and vocational training. It seeks to equip young Nigerians with the competencies required for sustainable employment, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness in today’s rapidly evolving economy.
Speaking on the partnership, the CEO of Envision-IBH Foundation, Alhaji Ibraheem Haruna, stated:
“This initiative is about unlocking the immense potential of Nigerian youths. By removing financial barriers and expanding access to high-quality, industry-relevant training, we are creating a clear pathway for millions of young Nigerians to achieve economic empowerment and compete globally.”
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), as the apex body representing youth organizations nationwide, will play a pivotal role in mobilizing participants through its extensive network across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, ensuring broad and inclusive participation.
The President of NYCN, Comrade Babangida Issah Onimisi, added:
“This collaboration represents a major milestone in addressing the challenges confronting Nigerian youths. By leveraging our nationwide structure, we are committed to ensuring that this opportunity reaches young people in every part of the country, including underserved and hard-to-reach communities.”
Training under the program will be delivered through Envision Learning Solutions, the designated technology and implementation partner. The program will adopt a hybrid learning model, combining digital platforms with in-person training centers to ensure accessibility, flexibility, and scale.
A key feature of the initiative is its innovative scholarship framework, which significantly reduces financial barriers to participation. Training programs valued between ₦1,000,000 and ₦3,000,000 will be made accessible through substantial tuition support. Participants will only be required to pay a highly subsidized registration and certification fee of:
- ₦20,000 for non-technical courses
- ₦30,000 for technical courses
This approach ensures affordability while maintaining the integrity and value of certifications.
The program will be implemented in phases, beginning with an initial pilot cohort, followed by a structured nationwide rollout to reach millions of beneficiaries over time.
The National Youth Capacity Development Program is expected to deliver significant socio-economic impact by:
- Enhancing youth employability
- Fostering entrepreneurship and innovation
- Supporting the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs)
- Contributing to Nigeria’s overall economic development
